The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a statement cautioning prospective candidates of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) not to buy into any news that states that it has begun sale of UTME forms.

The apex Exam Board took to its verified Twitter page on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, to inform candidates to ignore any source claiming it has begun the sales of UTME forms for next year.
"Kindly disregard news from any source stating that the Board has begun sales of it UTME application documents. Such news reports are false." it tweeted.

Last month, JAMB had said that no less than 200,000 candidates have been offered admission by the board, for the 2018/2019 academic session.
The Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, also explained in September how the 2019 general elections would not affect the board’s 2019/2020 examination.
